Duet for the Unification of Longings is a graphical and musical installation in which two participants collaborate in the performance of a musical composition while collectively guiding the course of a dynamic animation. The physical installation consists of two computers (in close or distant proximity) displaying the same dynamic animation. Changes made on one computer are also exhibited on the other. Each user controls a separate aspect of the animation's character and simultaneously controls either the melody or harmony portion of the music. The demo version seen here allows for one person to sample the interactions of each participant in the installation. Unfortunately, no sound is available in the demo.
